He is a son of Vidmantas iemelis, politician and signatory of the Act of the Re-Establishment of the State of Lithuania. In 1999, iemelis graduated from Business Management studies at the Vilnius Gediminas Technical University. In 2006, after completing studies at Mykolas Romeris University, he received Master's degree in Law. In 1999-2001, iemelis worked at the Lithuanian Savings Bank. He was CEO of vilgsnis i ar iau UAB in 2001-2005 and of IA valda in 2002-2006. Since 2007, iemelis served as CEO of the financial brokerage company Finhill UAB.
