It is told through the eyes and actions of a number of memorable characters, including a father and son, both Marine Corps Generals, one now the Governor of Maryland, a one-footed former CIA agent who discovers the terrorist plot, the President who suffers terrible personal losses, and numerous others. It is based on historical and current events as well as existing technologies.
