Daniel Differently (Paperback)

It is easy to have faith when everything is going your way. It is easy to believe that God will take care of you when you have everything you want and when life is good. But what happens when everything you love and hold dear is taken from you? The book of Daniel, classified as one of the Major Prophets, is a very interesting and different kind of book. The first six chapters are primarily a biographical sketch about Daniel with a little of his prophetic teachings sprinkled in while the last six chapters are mainly prophesy with a little narrative thrown in. And the prophecies in the last six chapters are some of the most controversial and studied words in the Bible as God paints a sweeping picture of the future - describing events that would occur centuries after Daniel's life. Although the prophetic images have become familiar icons there is a lot of disagreement and misunderstanding about what these symbols represent and how they will be (or already have been) fulfilled. The controversy and supernatural events that cause some to shy away from the book however is not nearly as difficult or as convoluted to understand as some have made it out to be. Undergirding everything in the Old Testament book is faith. This devotional book is an attempt to strip away all the confusing and conflicting interpretation and look at Daniel differently.
