Ben's Bunny Trouble (Hardcover)

Ben's Bunny Trouble is set in a near future in which the world has lost all its green space. When Ben decides that the city is not the best place for his bunnies, he embarks on an out-of-this-world journey to find them a better home. It takes a few false landings and help from a variety of aliens, but in the end, Ben finds his bunnies-which seem to have multiplied-a new place to live.
Daniel Wakeman once had a white dwarf bunny named Loki. He also had a pet bat. Of Ben's Bunny Trouble he says, "I wanted to create a book that was strongly story-based but not reliant on text." Daniel and Dirk have created a book that pre-readers can read to their parents as well as the other way round, a book that encourages interaction and dialogue. Daniel likes to paint, play his guitar and sing in his cowpunk band. He lives in Ottawa, Ontario, and some day he hopes to learn to surf.
As an illustrator, Dirk van Stralen, is thrilled to be able to indulge his childhood obsession with space travel. Dirk has loved to draw since he was four years old. He is a cartoonist and graphic artist, and he likes to act and write silly songs. For Ben's Bunny Trouble, Dirk created the initial drawings in pencil, scanned them into digital form and finished the color work on his computer. He lives in Vancouver, British Columbia, with his partner and his two teenage boys.
