"My Prodigal Brother" is a western novel that is set in the early 1890s. A prosperous ranch owner from Montana, Garrett Stone, has to constantly come to the aid of his fun-loving brother, John. His brother is a flamboyant, fly by the seat of his pants, young, broke 'lady's man'. His antics continually keep Garrett away from home to rescue his younger sibling. John's bad decisions, and his silly frolicking attitude always get him into misdemeanor type trouble. His irresponsible ways of behavior seem to cause him to get into worse trouble--each time In Garretts' many travels to prevent his brother from having to live out the rest of his grown-life in prison, Garrett, falls in love with a beautiful woman named Becky. Through no fault of their own, and despite their constant attempts to pursue a meaningful and ever-lasting relationship, Garrett and Becky cannot seem to permanently connect with one another. Some unforeseen dilemma seems to always prevent them from being able to make a long term commitment--together This is the first book in an on-going series about Garrett, Becky, and John's endeavors. Each book is an independent volume, and all of the main characters are involved in each one--somehow.
