EACH DISC CONTACTS: Mercuric Iodide % grain; Sodium Bicarbonate. 16 grains; Potassium Iodide, % grain. Potency--Comparative Safety. One disc dissolved in four ounces of warm water makes a 1:5000 solution of mercuric iodide, equal in germ-killing activity to a 1:1000 solution of mercuric chloride, than which it is much less irritating, containing, as it does, so much less mercury. Germicidal Discs in solution do not coagulate albumen; they do not injure lead, nickel or steel. Supplied in screw-cap vials of 25 and in bottles of 100. ALOPHEN FORMULA: Aloin (P. D. & Co.), 1-4 grain. Ext. Belladonna Leaves, 1-12 grain. Powd. Strychnine, 1-80 grain. Powd. Ipecac, 1-15 grain. Phenolphthalein, 1-2 grain. An Exceptional Purgative. If demand is an indication. Pill Alophen is a pill of unusual merit. Hosts of physicians are prescribing it. "My favorite cathartic pill," as applied to it, is a very common expression. Pill Alophen is like the milder salines in its action. It produces free, copious evacuation without the drastic effects of many cathartics. Supplied in bottles of 100 and 500.
