What started as a simple retirement vacation to the Dominican Republic for Elio and Lena Madonia has developed into a great humanitarian work. The deplorable living conditions for those caught in the tyranny of cyclical poverty tore at his heart. He decided to do something about it, and began by building homes. As people from around the globe heard of the work, they caught the vision and came to help. To date more than 1300 families live in homes and villages that offer them education, medical help, spiritual help and increased employment opportunity and training.
