Zaba, the main character, is a small bird. He meets Tickle, a distracted firefly, who flies to Zaba's nest. Together they are going to live through some incredible adventures. In this first book the firefly helps Zaba to return to his nest after he falls out of it. The book tries to show the value of friendships and that individuals on this planet are also different, with their own strengths and weaknesses. The friendship between Zaba and Tickle will grow over time. To show his gratitude to Zaba for his protection, Tickle teaches Zaba how to believe in himself and to start flying. This first book is just the starting point of their adventures in the world. One of them will always protect and help the other and they will grow together. The behaviour and problems experienced by families are also part of the story to teach children how best to cope with their own problems and accept things which are beyond their understanding.
