Emily King is a writer and curator specializing in graphic design. She has an M.A. from the Royal College of Art in London, for which she wrote a thesis on the design of movie title sequences. She also has a Ph.D. from Kingston University in the U.K., where she focused on the design of digital type. Having taught at several institutions, including the Royal College of Art, she now lectures widely. She is the design editor of Frieze magazine, and a regular contributor to several design magazines.
