The Role of Mass Media for the Pastoral Development of the Catholic Church in Nigeria (Hardcover)

The preparatory and the post synodal documents of the African Bishops' Synod in 1994 raised many concepts in the direction of the Catholic Church in Africa (in the Post European Missionary Period) finding her roots in the process of evangelization. Reflections are still going on in different theological fields on the process of developing an evangelization's concept that is African. This empirical study undertakes a research of print and audio-visual media in the African Church, especially in the Nigerian Situation. Of interest is the examination of the Laity's involvement in the process of evangelization.
