Clifford George Melton (January 3, 1912 - July 28, 1986) was a professional baseball player. He was a left-handed pitcher over parts of eight seasons (1937-1944) with the New York Giants. For his career, he compiled an 86-80 record in 272 appearances, with an 3.42 earned run average and 660 strikeouts. Melton was a member of the 1937 Giants team that won the National League pennant before losing to the New York Yankees in the World Series. In World Series play, Melton was 0-2 in three appearances (two starts), with a 4.91 earned run average and seven strikeouts. He was named to the National League All-Star team in 1942.
