Construction project is a collaborative effort among professionals from independent disciplines. The reality is that an adverse environment exists among parties in the construction industry. Identifying potential causes of discrepancies that could happen in a project as early as possible can enhance the management of the building projects. This book is an outcome of almost two years of extensive research investigating the causes of discrepancies at the design and construction interface in large building projects in Saudi Arabia. To achieve the study objectives, questionnaire survey and interviews were carried out to collect information. Recommendations were made for the most likely areas on which to focus to reduce the design and construction interface problems. The book will benefit the academicians and professionals involved with construction projects. The findings will also be useful for the management of design and construction activities in all types of building projects, thus helping to raise the overall level of productivity in the construction industry.
