First Ever Convocation of the Invisible Universe (Hardcover)

On October 2, 1999, Chelsea Green Publishing Company hosted an event that participants described as "magical", "historic", "inspirational", and "lotsa fun " Everyone agreed that this unique in-the-flesh gathering of the members of "the Invisible Universe", a term used by Chelsea Green to describe the people who understand and practice sustainable living, was an overwhelming success.

More than 350 builders, gardeners, musicians, gourmets, environmentalists, and naturalists joined twenty Chelsea Green authors who led interactive panel discussions, raised standing stones, and foraged for wild edibles. It was a day bursting with creative ideas and enthusiasm.
