Food Surveillence Paper No.25: Working Party on Pesticide Residues 1985-1988 (Paperback)

This Working Party co-ordinates government surveillance for residues of pesticides, their metabolites and other degradation products in UK produced and imported food and feeding stuffs, human tissues, wildlife and the environment. The information collected on the incidences and levels of pesticide residues allows assessment of toxicological and other aspects of consumers' exposure to them in their diet. The report provides survey reuslts from a total diet study, from which average intake of pesticide residues are estimated and compared with recognised acceptable daily intake figures.
