He joined the cast in late 1994 while the programme was still in its first season. He was transferred to Mount Thomas as his first station straight from the police academy at age 19 and took Roz Patterson's place when she was dismissed from her employment as the station's administration officer for accessing confidential police records. Adam was a bright spark of an officer with plenty of potential and plenty of questions. He was very young for a police officer and could appear slightly immature at times though he had a good heart and love for his job.
