Jos Filipe Correia Semedo is a Cape Verdean footballer who plays for Apollon Limassol, as a pacy forward. Semedo started his professional career with F.C. Barreirense, but soon moved to the lower leagues, with Clube Futebol Benfica and Odivelas FC. After stellar performances with Odivelas, in the third level (18 goals in 30 matches in 2007-08), Semedo attracted attention from first division clubs, eventually joining Rio Ave FC. In his first match in the top flight, on August 24, 2008, he scored in a 1-1 home draw against Sport Lisboa e Benfica.
