Jesus, I want to Know You (Paperback)

There is a song by a county music singer. It's about a young woman driving a car with a baby in the back strapped in her car seat. While driving, she loses control of the car and instantly calls for Jesus to take the wheel. When I first heard the words to that song, the first thing I thought was that I too had asked Jesus to take over. I needed his help. In life's trials and errors, I wonder how many people experience the same thing. In this person's case, in an instant moment of crisis, she couldn't handle it and turned to God for help. In just about everyone's life, there will be a time we ask for God's help. Many people experience a lot of hurt, going through a crisis of some kind. The most devastating tragedy one could face is to lose a son or a daughter, or other family member, due to an illness or shocking news, due to a car accident, or killed in the line of duty. How to cope with that is not easy. I've had people tell me about experiences they've had, and that their faith in God was so very important to help them pull through bad times. Bad times will fall on everyone's life one time or another, but it doesn't always have to be a bad thing. Hard times; there is an old saying that there is always something good that comes out of something bad. The stories of real life experiences in the early years of my parents, and my boyhood years with family, gave me a strong faith to survive. What really inspired me to put this book together is what is happening to our new generation. They are losing their faith and they think there is no need for God. Too many young people would rather put their trust in a materialist lifestyle. One can easily recognize what is going on in this world, and what is happening is not good. If we keep on at the present pace, life will become very difficult for the next generation. Throughout my writing, I am expressing the importance of faith that one needs to survive any hardships. What I would like to achieve is to get the reader's interest, and present an introduction to the church. There is a God who will take you in if you ask Him, whether you know Him or not. I would like to tell you what I, and what other people, know about Him, and the love and freedom that is available. It provides a comfort that a person can achieve, but you must let yourself be available to do so. Only you have the keys to open your heart from the inside to Jesus. Many lose their freedom because of their materialistic lifestyle, with no purpose or reason in life. People need a solid base (roots) and security which can be achieved by the knowledge of all of the gifts from God, and from our Mother Mary, and through the Saints and angels in Heaven that can help us in our lives. If you are one that has misgivings about the Catholic Church because of what you have been told, you were misinformed and sadly deprived about all the beautiful gifts from God. My common sense approach is to the person that may be lost, a person that has no knowledge of God, for a person that may be having a hard time with oneself, in a marriage, or at work, or someone that may be incarcerated. With today's divorce rate at over 50%, there are many young people hurting who have no one to turn to. Jesus, I Want to Know You, could be an answer to some.
