This is an account of how one layman deepened his faith through
practising as an architect. Gordon Cook's life was one of personal
problems and bereavement, and he had been haunted from early
manhood by the problem of how to lead a fully dedicated Christian
life such as that of an overseas missionary, without the full
commitment of ordination.
