Eighth grader Bob Katz is a long way from home. He and his family have recently moved from the Upper West Side of Manhattan to Monroeville, Alabama. Bob is trying hard to fit in, but seems to rub everyone the wrong way, earning the new nickname Bobnoxious. In order to deal with their new problem student, Bob's new school assigns him a Teacher's Aide, something Bob is simply not willing to accept.
