The 2009 Tour of Turkey is the 45th edition of professional road bicycle racing Tour of Turkey. Presidential Cycling Tour of Turkey is a professional road bicycle racing stage race held annually in Turkey. Historically the race attracted almost no attention from Europe's major cycling teams and best riders. However, its recent elevation in rankings has attracted an increasingly competitive field. Since 2008, it has been organised as a 2.1 event on the UCI Europe Tour, after being upgraded from 2.2 to 2.1 by the UCI in 2008. Total prize for 2008 is 160,000.
