Reviews

As a South African gardener, I was initially wary of purchasing a book obviously dedicated to American gardeners. I need not have been concerned about that - most of the plants are the same, although some are known by different names (very few). Where this book is an outstanding success is in the quality of its photographs. There is no doubt that they are gorgeous, and would encourage enthusiasm from all readers. The text is well written in a good and readable style. Where it falls short, however, is in the practical aspect of things such as propagation. If your aim is to learn about propagation, it would be best to try another book, but for all other aspects, this book is highly recommended.
