This leaflet gives guidance on what should be done during the daily test and inspection of a power press or press brake. The main areas covered are: trial strokes; fixed guards and closed tools; photo-electric safety devices; interlocked guards for positive key/clutch presses and for friction clutch presses; and automatic guards. Some makes and models of presses may need additional tests.
