When Fonnie Beachum, a retired nurse, suffers a stroke, she enters a nursing home for physical therapy. She is determined to get out of her wheelchair and back on her feet. Fonnie is settling in, working on her own recovery when her roommate, Hannah, dies unexpectedly, Fonnie is immediately suspicious because she recalls Hannah talking about an evil man who wanted to hurt her.
