But if the Lecturer shall have omitted any Lecture appointed by these Statutes, unless he have been hindered either by ill-health, or other lawful impediment to be approved by the Dean and a majority of the Chapter, in which case our pleasure is that he be regarded as absent, and be-subject to the rules laid down above concerning the time and manner of his absence, he shall forfeit 13J. d. on every occasion, to be deducted from his salary, which we desire to go in equal shares to the use of the sub-Canons. 8. But our pleasure is that each one of the Canons and Prebendaries, as well as the Ministers of inferior rank in this Church, who are resident at the time in the city, shall frequent all the Lectures, unless a reason hinder them to be approved in like manner, under penalty of losing their allowances and Quotidians for the day on which they have been absent, or under a fine to be inflicted at discretion on those who are not Canons, in the manner in which it was provided in the chapter about preaching. CHAPTER X. Concerning the Immoveable Goods, or Farms and Estates of the Church. 1.
