God's Way of Peace by Horatius Bonar is one of the best defenses of the gospel against legalism ever written. It is also one of the most winsome presentations of the gospel ever penned. Its value comes mostly from its great ability to deal with the numerous and clever barriers that men create to keep themselves from the freedom of the salvation of Christ. A Puritan classic, it is highly recommended.
