If you read these memoirs to their conclusion, you might also recognize that I.O.W.A. has another connotation, A a¬AIdiot Out Wandering Around.A a¬A I have had the good fortune to visit many places on the planet where we live. As a result, I, more than ever, appreciate our homeland, its opportunities, and the blessings we have received here in the Good Old United States of America. From the last days of WW I, through the great depression of the 30s, WW II, and putting man on the moon, this is a story of the 85 years of my life, unvarnished, explicit, sincere in its spectrum of events, the difficult times as well as the happy times. I am grateful to the many people I have met and who have shared these happenings with me.
