Architecture Music - Boa Baumann Fritz Hauser (German, Hardcover)

Since the 1990s Boa Baumann and Fritz Hauser have often collaborated in sounding out the contours which are defined when music meets architecture. Time and again, Fritz Hauser is involved conceptually in Baumann's architecture projects, while Boa Baumann is often designing and realising spaces and stage installations for Hauser performances. 'Architecture Music: Boa Baumann and Fritz Hauser' reveals, in all its facets, a collaboration based on manifold designs and mutual inspiration. A running text tells the story of how two disciplines discover and react to and complement each other -a story of an on-going work in progress. Instead of in the sense of a classical monograph, beginning with the first encounter in Castel Burio the important stages of the teamwork are documented in the form of a narrative structure, based on several interviews which the author Hubertus Adam conducted with the main protagonists and other persons. The desired result is a story that allows the persons and works of Boa Baumann and Fritz Hauser to come alive. Large format illustrations by Andreas Fahrni, Christian Lichtenberg, Isabel Burgin et al. establish a narrative thread that is woven into the text.
