Life - Frustration or Fulfillment (Paperback)

Women today, whether single or married are seeking fulfillment, identity and significance, yet the subtle pressures of our world's system are causing increasing frustration. New and far-reaching challenges are being encountered by women as never before, forcing them to re-examine and re-evaluate their priorities. The extreme pressures from a social and economical standpoint are bombarding women at every turn. With the ever-increasing divorce rate that predominates our society, the "fractured family" syndrome is also more rampant. This book will enable the reader to understand the Biblical role for women, the challenges they face today, as well as considering significant identifiable characteristics of godly women who have been role model examples throughout history. It will also present recommendations to promote a healthier approach to cope with these pressures, proposing some practical suggestions for a victorious and dynamic Christian life. Ida M. Angier, originally from Canada, has served with The Navigators for 34 years, of which 13 years were spent in Lebanon and Jordan teaching nursing and mentoring young women. Following the 1975 Civil War in Beirut, she has mentored women individually and taught large church groups; then served with Focus on the Family; later as Wedding Coordinator at Lake Avenue Church in Pasadena, California. Ida's education includes Registered Nurses' degree, Ontario Bible College, Bachelor and Master of Arts in New Testament Studies from the California Graduate School of Theology. Ida and her husband, Peter, have two grown sons and eleven grandchildren. They reside in Glendale, California. Currently, she mentors business and professional women in biblical truths within the Los Angeles area.
