He has traditionally been portrayed as a person who guarded his privacy and this novel intends to show another side of his personality. At some stage of his career, every professional golfer has tried to emulate Ben Hogan, either his work habits, intensity, knowledge of the game and swing mechanics, or 'his secret'.
