This review contains information concerning the latest achievements in clinical immunology and describes the activities of Soviet specialists in this field. The authors have for many years been engaged in elaborating the clinical aspects of immunology and treating patients with various forms of immunodeficiency. Particular attention is given to the results obtained by the authors during long-term clinical evaluation of various immunomodifiers. Several aspects of immunodiagnostics, including functional assessment of specific T-cell and B-cell subsets as well as measurements of the antibody-producing potentials in humans, are covered.
