Paper Dolls for Costume Arrangements: The Same Doll in Three Different Costumes: The three costumes shown on page 71 were arranged to fit three dolls cut from the same different color harmonies were expressed in each, and very different e The first costume shows a dress cut from violet paper, with collar, cuffs and belt of redBlack hair ribbons, a black tie, a black buckle and black shoes were needed to balance the strong colors of the dress and its trimmings. The second costume is developed on page 37. It appears now in tones of orange, with touches of blue on the hat, bag and waist. Tan and brown are both tones of orange. and muff and shoe shapes were cut from these colors of paper. The small shap5 Ql white, placed to indicate a collar, are important in giving snap or Where thls effect is needed. It is well to know just where to put these smart little touches Light gray-blue and dark blue were the colors selected for the third costume. Red hair ribbons and an outline or piping of red on the collar, served to brighten the effect The white Vest gives a Somewhat dressy touch to the little garment, as white net 01' fine white lawn would do in a real costume. A school dress, a street costume, and fl frock for special occasions are thus shown in the three designs.-Any doll would be happy to own such a beautiful and suitable outfit . Ffects secured.
