The i5 6600k is a quad core 4 thread 14nm processor with a base clock of 3.5Ghz and a boost clock of 3.9Ghz. This is simalr to the i5 4690K with the only difference being that i5 6600K has a higher TDP (Thermal Design Power) of 95W and updated Intel 530 Integrated graphics compared to the previous generation. When comparing 6600K with the previous generation there is a performance increase of +/- 11%. Overclocking could see gains of performance of up to 4.5Ghz to 4.7Ghz depending on chip lottery and CPU cooling.
