It's the Gospel that Works not us (Paperback)

Helen Nixon accepted the Lord at age 11 and learned about missionaries a few months later. She began picturing herself doing what they were doing, never dreaming they were real people. She learned they were real picture about a year later and felt the need to respond to an invitation to give her life as a missionary and at the same time. This feeling persisted throughout her teenage years, evolving into a conviction God was calling her to go overseas as a missionary. She received her bachelors degree from Baylor University and masters from Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary, leaving for Richmond, Virginia for appointment to represent the Southern Baptist Convention the day of graduation, in 1949. She spent a year in Colombia studying the Spanish language and arrived in Argentina in August 1950, spending 31 years ministering, while over that country living in Rosario and Mendoza Argentina, retiring in 1981. She gave her first three furloughs to completing requirements for a Doctor of Religious Education degree, from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
