Mythology. Each dispensation has had its instance of translation:
Enoch under the Patriarchal, Elijah under the Jewish, our blessed
Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ under the Christian. It is good
advice, given by an Heathen, always to imagine some good man
present with us; but how far beyond this, to walk with God, as
Enoch did THE DOVE SENT FROM THE ARK. Genesis Viii. 8--12.
Beautiful Dove, thy soft, white wing Hath swept a stormy sea;
Though sunbeams brightness around might fling, It was no home for
thee What though the tops of the hills be bare, Still desolate each
height, "Where are the valleys of date-trees, --where The
