Heterocycles in Bioorganic Chemistry (Hardcover)

These proceedings contain lectures, presented by invited speakers at the 6th FECHEM Conference on "Heterocycles in Bio-Organic Chemistry", held at Solbacka (Sweden, May 1990) and in addition some updated versions of selected lectures from the 5th Symposium, presented at Bechyne (Czechoslovakia, May 1988). In the lectures the most recent information is presented concerning the synthesis, physical and pharmacological properties of important bioheterocycles (tetrahydropyran containing natural products, benzodiazepinones, indole and isoquinoline alkaloids, Nuphar alkaloids, as well as stereochemical effects in synthesis and conformational studies). The editors of the proceedings believe that in this book a reasonable coverage is given of today's work on the role of heterocyclic compounds in bio-organic chemistry and that the book will contribute to a better understanding of the mechanism of action of bioheterocycles in bioprocesses.
