Paul Haggis writes, directs and produces this drama starring Liam Neeson and James Franco. Award-winning author Michael (Neeson) is suffering with writer's block while trying to complete his latest book and so, after leaving his wife, he travels to Paris to lock himself in a hotel room until he has finished. Simultaneously, businessman Scott (Adrien Brody) is on a business trip in Italy when he stumbles across an American-style café. Suddenly realising he is alone Scott strikes up a conversation with the beautiful Monika (Moran Atias) who tells him she is awaiting a reunion with her young daughter.
