Suffice it, however, to fay, that, though he reprefents me as having, from the beginning, forefeen that I might be required to produce ibme account, and as having refolved to fend an account with the articles tranfpofed, fo as to difguife how the balance llood at the time the note was granted, notwithftanding this fuppofed forefight and determination, when applied to by the executors, I am fo much at a lofs what to do, that, after having actually promifed to fend the account, 1 am driven to the awkward neceflity of revoking my promife, and of withholding the account altogether. And this is faid to be exquifite caution it is defcribed as a deep plot it is painted as a fubtle contrivance, deliberately formed and craftily executed and I am a man of dark defign, fmgular cunning, and accurate forefight Let the reader judge whether this is a true picture of what may really exift, or a miferable daubing, that violates every rule of probability and nature.
