Immunology (Paperback, 2nd edition)

This textbook on immunology has been revised to reflect the advances that have been made in the understanding of immunology in recent years. This edition contains the latest thinking on the role of natural killer cells, T-cell receptor signalling and accessory molecules, complement receptors, lymphokines and their receptors, toxic shock and LPs, and tumour immunology. As with the first edition, the authors aim to present only what is known and have kept the discussion of fashionable hypotheses to a minimum. It is also intended that by including background material on methodology and basic biochemistry, the book should be understandable without reference to other books. The first edition won the 1990 Glaxo Prize for Medical Writing, awarded in the textbook category.
