He has made his fortune, and while visiting his sister he runs into Anne. Though still angry with her, Wentworth isn't unmindful of her presence. At the seaside resort of Bath there is an inspiring and tender reunion when Wentworth writes Anne a letter announcing his love for her. Earlier in their lives love had made everything seem certain, but their falling apart into estrangement was a great confusing separation. This new wiser romance compensates the wrong beginning with a surprisingly satisfying result.
