A Light Behind the Door - A Travel Story from Beyond the Grave (Paperback)

After surgery Ursula does not wake up in hospital but in the hereafter - and discovers: Death does not exist ... and "death is quite a simple affair." Ursula meets Celine, who is there to accompany her soul and who receives here at the ceiling of the operating theatre. Celine introduces her to another world and accompanies her through frightening, confusing and exhilarating events; Ursula gets a profound view of her being and existence.
In the meantime, Ursula's daughter, Sabine, tries to come to terms with her grief in the here and now and to take care of the affairs of her deceased mother. Subsequently both come to terms their common life as mother and daughter, Sabine in the here and now, Ursula in the hereafter and together in a twilight area which Sabine can enter in her dreams.
After losing her mother, the author becomes increasingly involved with the issue of the hereafter. She processes the results of her research and her experience with her own grief in a "Travel Journal from the Hereafter."
Death is not the final destination. It is a transition between two worlds. Those greiving receive through this little story an option of what the life of the deceased could - - but must not - be as things can be very different Here religious convictions do not play a role. Independent of beliefs and ideas of the hereafter, the reader can be encouraged to view life for once from another perspective and see him/herself in a broader context.
