The philosophy of science is today a major area in philosophy. The volumes in this set, published between 1923 and 1955 show the development of this important field in the first half of the 20th century. "Scientific Thought" , based on a course of lectures by the famous philosopher C.D. Broad in 1920-21, looks at many scientific theories, such as the theory of relativity, space, time and motion and mathematical physics.
