DVD for Poulin S Strengths-Based Generalist Practice: A Collaborative Approach, 3rd (Other digital, 3rd)

Created to complement the book's strengths-based approach and its emphasis on core practice skills and empowerment, the updated DVD includes three thirty-minute interview sessions representing a diverse selection of clients. Each session corresponds to one of the three phases of the helping relationship (pre-engagement, engagement, and disengagement). With its direct connections to the text, students will find the DVD to be a helpful study tool. Before each session, Poulin provides commentary in which he points out the essentials skills about to be demonstrated, and directs students to the text pages on which the skills are discussed. This commentary is followed by a brief introduction by the social worker who conducts the interview, thus outlining the goals for the session.
