El Derecho de Mexico y Su Terminologia Legal (Mexican Law and Its Legal Terminology) (Spanish, Paperback)

El Derecho de Mexico y su Terminologia Legal (Mexican Law & Its Legal Terminology) was especially written for the benefit of legal practitioners, judges, government officials involved with Mexico, law professors and students, paralegals, interpreters and translators. The book serves a triple purpose: first, it provides the reader with the legal terminology that is used today in Mexico in six major areas of Mexican law: 1) Immigration law; 2) Labor law; 3) Real estate; 4) Family law; 5) Contracts; and 6) Criminal law. Second, it gives the reader an excellent introduction to the Mexican legal system, connecting Mexican law with its major components and its specific legal terminology. And third, it contains a current collection of samples of the most common and important Mexican legal documents, such as powers of attorney, initial complaints and their answers; civil, labor and criminal judgments rendered by Mexican courts; several kinds of contracts; by-laws of Mexican companies; including Amparos, Ejecutorias and Jurisprudencias. These samples were provided by Mexican law firms. The book closes with two up-to-date bibliographies: one from U.S. sources, and the second from Mexican sources in Spanish. Please note that due to the nature of the material, the book is written primarily in Spanish. The book was prepared by Prof. Jorge A. Vargas, a leading expert on Mexican law, for his Mexican Legal Terminology course at the University of San Diego School of Law (USD).
