It is fully compatible with all commonly available IBM and compatible hardware, including RM Nimbus, and with other school management packages, including SIMS. It is easy to use and time- and cost-effective, making record-keeping both manageable and useful. Screen menus and prompts help to make the whole system supportive and userfriendly. The system allows teachers to make formative and diagnostic use of assessment information, and to provide summative documentation and a wealth of other statistical analyses and insights whenever required. It charts each pupil's progress within the National Curriculum, allowing pupils (and parents) to become and feel involved. It supports negotiation and generates documentation for inclusion in "records of achievement". It is modular: additional modules can be purchased (in any order, at any time) as greater enhancement and versatility are required. It provides a wide variety of keyed data entry options appropriate to different user needs. Files can be exported and imported on paper or disc. An extended OMR capability, incorporating the new mathematics and science attainment targets, will be available in mid 1991.
