Get in the Boat! (Hardcover)

There are a few crazy people who enjoy a wild and scary storm but for many, just the sight of clouds forming on the horizon can bring mind-numbing fear. When Judy was diagnosed with cancer she was ill prepared for the storm which would envelope her life and the lives of her friends and family. She soon found that keeping a sense of humor was imperative and relying on her faith would ease the journey through the valley of the shadows. "Get In The Boat " is an inspirational yet humorous account of Judy's battle. During the many months of treatment she experienced just about every side effect and some the doctors had never seen. In addition, three grandchildren were born - two with life threatening illnesses. Her husband suffered health issues of his own, yet through it all she strove to maintain a balance of faith and humor in the midst of trying circumstances. This book is a testimony of God's grace and will bring a smile to the lips and praise to the tongue, especially to those who are launching their boat into the deep and can't see the shoreline on the other side. It will encourage trust that the one who made the storm will make a way. Judy was born in Sitka, Alaska to missionaries. During her formative years she resided with her parents at Hillcrest Childrens Home in Hot Springs, Arkansas. She married Tom and had three children. Today, she and her husband reside outside Louisville, Kentucky in The Saddlebred Capital of the World, Shelbyville, and are the proud grandparents of Gideon, Ethan, Maia, Kaya, Ben and Julia.
