GCSE Science Double Award - Teachers' Resource Book (Paperback)

,
The "GCSE Science Double Award" series has been written specifically for the revised National Curriculum and the syllabuses to be introduced in September 1996. The three books (Biology, Physics and Chemistry) are suitable for students following co-ordinated science courses. The series is also suitable for students taking the NEAB Modular course as each book is divided into sections that follow modules.;The text is split into lower-level work (up to Grade C) and higher-level work (up to Grade A) which allows teachers to match the work to the abilities of their pupils. This seeks to provide a clear progression of ideas. Clearly definded targets help students extract key information and the science is set in familiar contexts. Experimental and investigative science is covered throughout the course and used to reinforce new ideas. The "Things to Do" sections include practical work, investigations and written exercises and develop skills such as data interpretation and evaluation. The "Teachers' Resource File" includes tests for each module and data interpretation exercises, investigations with guidance on assessment, prompt sheets for each strand of investigative work, experimental worksheets covering specific techniques and data sheets. There is also advice on how specific GCSE syllabuses are covered.
