He travels to Saudi Arabia and lives in a secure Western compound. He works in a modern plastics factory and develops a new process to make plastic furniture. The story tells how the wealthy Saudis live and explains their attitude towards followers of Jesus Christ. Amos gets involved with the underground Filipino Christian Church and the Indian Christians as well as the Western expatriate Christians who live in Jeddah. For a period of time he is being sought by the dreaded Matawanathe religious policeabecause of his activities.
