Dornock Railway Station (Paperback)

Dornock railway station was a railway station in Dumfries and Galloway between Annan and Gretna. The station opened 23 August 1848. Six years later it was closed for a period of 11 years. It was renamed as Eastriggs by the London Midland and Scottish Railway 1 May 1923. The station closed in 1965, although the line through the station is still open. It was created in 1975 by uniting the historic region of Galloway to the County of Dumfries for the purpose of council administration, hence "Dumfries and Galloway."
