Eliv lton Alves Rufino, commonly known simply as Eliv lton (born July 31, 1971), is a Brazilian football (soccer) player who played for several Campeonato Brasileiro S rie A clubs. He also played for the Brazilian national team. Born in Serrania, Minas Gerais state, Eliv lton started his professional career in 1990, when he joined S o Paulo, after leaving his youth club Esportiva de Passos. Defending S o Paulo, he won the Campeonato Paulista in 1991 and in 1992, the S rie A in 1991, the Copa Libertadores in 1992 and in 1993, and the Intercontinental Cup in 1993. In 1994, he won the J. League, being awarded as the best foreigner player in the league, while playing for Nagoya Grampus.
