Natasha Kanani Janine Kai (born 22 May 1983, in Kahuku, Hawaii) is an American soccer forward currently playing for Philadelphia Independence of Women's Professional Soccer and is a member of the United States women's national soccer team.Kai is one of the most famous female athletes from Hawaii, where she starred at the University of Hawai i and was the Conference Player of the Year three times.On 16 September 2008 the initial WPS player allocation was conducted; Kai was allocated to Sky Blue FC with fellow US Women's National Team players Heather O'Reilly and Christie Rampone. Kai's electrifying play on offense was key in Sky Blue FC's 2009 WPS championship season.
